The Quiet Believer
Your potential is locked in your self belief, building confidence will unlock your ultra success.
Some daily intentions, repeated over time will help you prime your thinking and your observations of yourself - kindness to yourself goes a long way but setting intentions and following through gives you evidence you complete what you set out to, and this is the route to strong foundational self-confidence.
Morning habits - Avoid your phone for the first 30 min of your day, make your bed, set 1-3 clear priorities for the day, move your body - even just 10 minutes, and say one thing you look forward to and one thing you like about yourself.
Catch yourself doing well - Take a moment to enjoy when something goes well, say out loud what you liked about the experience, and go the extra mile to identify the strength in you which you deployed. Write one word strengths on sticky notes and put them up where you will see them regularly.
Before a run - Set yourself up for success - get gear visible and in one place, follow a calendar for distance / route and designate a time for your runs rather that "squeezing it in". Give yourself multiple directives for runs - go beyond speed work, long run etc - think how you want to feel - this helps when you feel to tired, bored or don't identify as a "runner" - Create 'Happy Run' options - Favorite song run, run with a view, flat and fast, power hike, random intervals mixed in... there are no junk miles.
After a run- note how you feel - is this the feeling you expected or not? Why?
Before bed- What are you proud of or feel good about today? Set intentions for tomorrow and drop breadcrumbs to ensure you are successful - lay out clothes.
